Nerd Nite is an informal gathering at which folks get together for nerdery of all sorts (well, mostly presentations and drinking).

Nerds and non-nerds alike gather to meet, drink and learn something new.
The basic idea is to combine two wonderful things that are too rarely put together: drinking, and learning about interesting things. Nerd Nite chapters now exist in 80 cities all over the world and we are growing like crazy!

PRESENTERS WANTED!
Nerd Nite lectures are intended to be tailored for bar audiences, and we are looking for people interested in sharing their expertise with a crowd thirsty for knowledge…and alcohol.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
20 minute presentations focusing on anything interesting, esoteric, obsessive, fascinating, weird, or just plain funny. Past presenters have been extremely scientific and others completely ridiculous.

Presentations are best delivered with audio/visual aspects – powerpoint, clips, etc. We will provide A/V equipment.

-Want to present about your academic (or personal) research? Wonderful!

-Do you consider what you do at work to be innovative or crucial? Enlighten us!

-Have a hobby that people think is a bit strange? We all want to drink beer and listen to you tell us about it!

-Do you know so much about one aspect of trivia that your friends
can’t stand hearing about it anymore? Well, we haven’t heard about it yet so make us aware!

-Do people think you are a conspiracy nut? Well, try to sell us on it!
